Everyone in favor of equality and overcoming of gender violence is a feminist. Feminists are transforming the world and we are going to do it with even more depth with our full and egalitarian participation in all the branches of sciences. We commit to the achievement of a definitive progress in overcoming all gender discrimination within every scientific field.

Women have frequently been excluded from international evidence-based research on gender issues. Feminists are committed to making such evidence freely accessible to everyone, we will no longer allow them to be hidden from public view.  One of the clearest pieces of evidence is that there are women and men that act against gender violence, as well as men and women who are on the side of harassers; there are women and men who are in favor of equality and those who are against it. To say that all women are feminist and all men are sexist is not only false, but harms feminism gravely and especially those who are victims of attacks of gender violence of first and second order.

Equality, freedom, transparency, non-violence and diversity are very important values within feminism. Nobody should discriminate our very different identities nor limit the complete freedom that each one of us have to exercise our political, ideological, beliefs and sexual options. All use of feminism to serve one particular option and which harms others is an instrumentalization that damages gravely these values.

Congratulations to all who throughout history have worked so that we can get to this point. Now we are going to take an even bigger step towards the success of feminism within science and society.
